Aliza McHugh is passionate about building more equitable and sustainable communities. While in school, she researched food systems within the U.S. prison system—work that continues to inform her advocacy for marginalized groups and social justice.
She has held positions with leading environmental organizations, including Global Green and the Environmental Grantmakers Association, and later served as an AmeriCorps member supporting youth development in San Francisco.
Now based in Hood River, Oregon, Aliza works in sustainable tourism and community development. As the Director of Partnerships for Re:wild Your Campus, she helps connect university campaigns with national and local allies to strengthen student advocacy. She also plays a key role in shaping RYC’s strategy, development, and fellowship programs.
