About Re:wild Your Campus

Re:wild Your Campus is a national nonprofit movement transforming college and university grounds into vibrant, healthy places where people, pollinators, and ecosystems thrive. We’re driven by a bold vision: eliminate synthetic pesticides from all U.S. campuses by 2030 and replace them with regenerative, organic land-care practices that protect human health, restore biodiversity, and build climate resilience.

Our film premieres this month!

Groundswell is here. Our short film tells the story of Re:wild Your Campus: where we come from, what drives us, and the real people and places at the heart of this movement.

From the volleyball courts at UC Berkeley where it all began, to campuses across the country going pesticide-free, Groundswell captures what it looks like when students, groundskeepers, and communities come together to transform the land beneath their feet. It's a story about more than organic lawn care, it's about building a regenerative future, one campus at a time.

Our Roots

Re:wild Your Campus began with two UC Berkeley students who refused to accept toxic pesticides as part of campus life. What started as a simple request to stop spraying near their volleyball court grew into a powerful campaign that started a movement.
